Meet Shirley – The Singaporean Digital Artist Behind Pillybaxtoodles

I’m Shirley, your friendly neighborhood chief doodler here at Pillybaxtoodles. Based in sunny Singapore, I’ve been weaving the magic of digital art since 2016—what started as a hobby has now transformed into a passion-fueled side hustle since 2019.

By day, I’m a business analyst (former auditor, if you must know), crunching numbers and solving puzzles. But by night—and every spare moment in between—I’m immersed in the whimsical world of doodling and digital illustrations.

It all began with my childhood love for doodling, where every blank notebook was an open invitation for creativity. Fast forward to 2016, I got the chance to train under a Photoshop pro, and it was like stepping into Narnia—except the magical world was full of pixels and brushes. By 2018, armed with my first iPad and Apple Pencil, I fell in love with Procreate, and there was no turning back.
